End of a long holiday week-end and big sigh because it felt all too short!
I’ve enjoyed seeing so many wonderful photos from around the country and around the world from craft bloggers that have really inspired me so I thought I would reciprocate and share some of the Fall scenery from Southern California.
These shots were taken on a nature trail that is close by but it is pretty rare to have access to one unless you live near the beach or the mountains. Most of the nature trails are in the foothills which require more wilderness training than I have. Every day that we visit the landscape is completely different and it is the most peaceful feeling in the world to be there seeing the world in full color as it changes from season to season.
Because we hardly see the kind of Fall that comes from a four season climate, I am just thrilled to capture tiny glimpses of Fall that we manage to get while still enjoying some nice warm weather. I think it must have been around 85F this afternoon, but closer to chilly 50’s in the morning.

Beautiful close-ups!

Almost all the bright colored leaves are gone around here. Only the tenatious oak leaves are hanging on. Still, the grass is green and the colors of the hills are rosy.
