“Complex harmonies from simple notes…”

Posted by: Kathy on: August 12, 2007

I went a little crazy tonight with the Fall issue of Interweave Knits, two wonderful Fair Isle projects that have me dreaming already, a Mirepoix Bodice sweater by Mary Jane Mucklestone and some very precious alapaca fingerless mittens in a beautiful mixture of browns, greens, and persimmon.  Eunny has a wonderful cable yoke cardigan that was made to perfection in a fabulous yarn – leave it to Eunny!  I definitely felt her imprint on this issue.  If I could only get better at two color knitting on dpn’s (I can’t manage the float at the joins yet), I would love to settle down on a crisp Fall day and knit these silky soft mittens in these gorgeous colors.  In my case, it is very much the journey rather then the destination when it comes to mittens.
