I’ve been busy as a bee having a ball with this little project. Here you can see the first half of the bottom of the bag, knitted up with Noro Kureyon (No. 134). The top rim of the bag will be in the same along with the handles so all the trim matches. I was so relieved when I joined the Noro to the main bag when it started looking like all the colors were in the same color family. This was my first time using the Noro in one color knitting and I was so amazed to see how much it imitates what we try so hard to achieve with Fair Isle knitting, ie. that spectacular gradation of colors in imitation of nature. I can see why Sally Melville chose this yarn for a Fair Isle project because it sure does help things along nicely to achieve that look.

Here you can see my handles in the Kureyon made out of simple I-Cord. This was another first for me, 82″ of it! But it was very addicting seeing it grow because I couldn’t wait to see how it would change with each new color. You can also see a photo in the background of the original model from the book (one of four).
So wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!
where can we find fair isle jumpers patterns for kids? I really want to knit one for my 5 years old girls. Thanks for your help

I’m so intrigued by this project of yours. I honestly don’t know of many yarns as satisfying as NORO Kureyon and Silk Garden.
